Every time I tell myself that my prayers were not "answered" by God, I remember this sermon of a priest in Greenbelt Chapel that my friend told me about. The priest questioned why people say that God doesn't answer our prayers. He went on by asking, "No is an answer too, right?"
"For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)My friend's story reminds me that God has a master plan for me. God has a good reason why sometimes things do not happen as I please. I reminded myself that God has something better planned for me. Because you are a child of God and He loves you as much as He loves me, God has something better planned for you too.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
What was your prayer request? What was God's answer?
Do you have a prayer request now? Tell me about it so I can pray for you.
