The Marriage Zoo: Things I learned from The Great Date Project {Part 2}

After our first session, we were given a date assignment:  "street" food dining experience.  The example given was Mercato Centrale.  Because it was a weekday and Mercato is not open, we went to Timog instead.
We forgot the name of the place (haha!).  Anyway, we had fun :-)
Our second "The Great Date Project" session last July 13, 2012 was as fun and enriching as the first session.  Pastor Robert Hern introduced us to the different animals that we transform into whenever we try to resolve conflicts.

The Things I Learned from The Great Date Project (Part 1)

Lately, Don and I have been fighting more than usual.  For some reason, we have been annoying each other and petty arguments turn into a big fight.  It is not the end-of-marriage type of fights.  These are just childish fights that we needed to win.

Don and I have been married for eight years and I don't think that this is an extension of the "7-year itch".  You see, we work six times a week.  We spend our entire Sunday with Julia and date nights are often traded for more work, some me-time, more sleep or some time with friends.

Parenting Conference 2012

Don and I attended a Parenting Conference last November 12, 2011 at Victory Fort, Every Nation Building.  Pastor Steve Murrell with wife, Deborah and son, William were truly inspiring and "real".  I mean, they provided realistic and practical day-to-day ways to raise children in accordance to God's commandments.

We attended the conference with Mama Cita (Julia's grandmother).  After all, she spends a lot of time with Julia because Don and I work Mondays to Saturdays.

In just 4 hours, I learned a lot:
